When getting ready for your vacation at one of our three boutique hotels in St Pete Beach, Florida, you are likely to be thinking about one thing: the beach. While it is sure to be the main focus of your stay, you are going to need to bring more than just a bathing suit to enjoy your stay. Rather than wasting your time shopping for the various things that you forgot to bring, go through a checklist to ensure you get the most out of your stay. Making sure you have everything that you need before you step out the door, we have provided a list of essential items to pack for your trip.

Clothing: While you may plan on living in your bathing suit for your entire stay, it is always best to have options. Since it will likely be quite warm, be sure to bring lightweight and breathable clothing to stay cool. Not only is this type of clothing good at combating the heat, but it will also dry quickly in case you get caught in a last-minute storm rolling in from the Gulf of Mexico. Although our temperatures rarely drop below 60 degrees, it does happen. We recommend bringing at least one sweatshirt and a pair of jeans just to be safe.

Beach Necessities: Having a beach and a pool to lounge at presents a variety of dilemmas, such as which to enjoy first. One issue that you can cut out is putting on a damp bathing suit. Bring two bathing suits so one will always be dry and ready to wear. While you may think an obvious thing to bring is your sandals and a towel, all too often visitors come to us asking where they can buy both items.  Sunscreen is a must. As we are located so close to the equator, the sun is significantly stronger and you will burn faster than normal. With this in mind, you may also want to consider bringing aloe and moisturizer to soothe your skin.

Miscellaneous: While there is plenty to do to keep busy around our St Pete Beach, Florida hotels, you may want to bring a few things to occupy yourself while lounging. If the sound of the ocean is not enough, be sure to bring a portable radio or mp3 player, as well as a good book. As there will be plenty of memories you will want to capture, remember to pack your camera with its batteries and SD card.

Making sure you have all of these items packed the night before your flight will prevent the inconvenience of purchasing things you know are sitting in your house. If you do forget anything, our friendly staff at the Plaza Beach Resorts can help you find where you can buy any forgotten items.
